What is m•doc made from?

Yes, all wounds should be cleaned with water, saline or antiseptic solution to help prevent infection. This should be done before applying m•doc.
Can I reapply m•doc if the wound does not stop bleeding?
Reapplying m•doc is not necessary in most cases, but it is safe to do so if the wound keeps oozing through the first application. In cases of prolonged bleeding, seek medical advice.
Is m•doc safe to use on my children?
Yes. m•doc is completely safe for use on both adults and children under the age of five years
Are there any side effects to m•doc?
m•doc is completely safe and has no known side effects. Although some people may get a sting or a cold sensation.
Can I use m•doc on my face?
m•doc Spray Powder should not be sprayed directly on to the face as it may inadvertently hit the eyes. However, you can either spray m•doc onto some clean gauze, or use m•doc patches/dressings to effectively apply m•doc to the face. Be sure to avoid the eye area.
What should I do if I get m•doc in my eyes?
You should rinse the eyes thoroughly with plenty of clean water. Seek medical advice if there are signs of irritation such as stinging or redness.
Can m•doc be used to stop bleeding in the mouth?
No m•doc is for external topical use only and should not be directly sprayed in the mouth
Will it hurt when I spray m•doc on the cut?
Some people experience a cold sensation when applying the spray. To minimize this, the can should be shaken thoroughly and held approximately 6 inches (15 cm) away from the wound. Any cold sensation does not last long and when it passes, m•doc is already fast at work stopping the bleeding.
Won't m•doc prevent any infection from being removed with the blood?
Infections are not removed by allowing wounds to bleed. All wounds should be cleaned before treatment. m•doc is designed to speed up the natural healing process and not interfere with it.

The efficacy of the Nasal Plugs is further enhanced by the addition of m•doc (micro-dispersed oxidized cellulose) which is derived from pure natural cotton and helps stop the bleeding fast.
How quickly do the Nasal Plugs stop bleeding?
As soon as the m•doc Nasal Plugs is inserted into the bleeding nose, it starts to rapidly expand and fill the cavity. This expansion, combined with the coagulating action of the m•doc contained in the Nasal Plugs, should stop bleeding within a few minutes.
How do you use m•doc Nasal Plugs?
The m•doc Nasal Plug should be removed from the packaging and carefully inserted into the side of the nose which is bleeding, ensuring that the portion of the plug held by the fingertips is left outside the nose.

If necessary, the Nasal Plugs can be inserted into both nostrils. However, the patient should be carefully watched as use in two nostrils at the same time may cause breathing difficulties. ln the event of such difficulty, remove the nasal plugs. Seek medical advice if the bleeding persists.
What should I do if the nosebleed fails to stop?

If I use the spray, do I have to wipe off m•doc afterwards?
No. m•doc is completely safe and biodegradable so it does not have to be removed from the wound. It is hypoallergenic and pH balanced so it will cause no irritation to the skin.
Do I still need a plaster?
The use of a plaster is optional depending on the severity of the wound. plasters protect wounds against infection and further damage. Most plasters do not stop bleeding unless they specifically contain an agent that aids coagulation, which is the m•doc advantage.
